Putting the "lame" in "Plame"...

Joyful Christian asks, "Are bloggers required to blog about everything?" His answer is "No" and mine is, "of course not"! Apparently, some think there is some requirement for conservative (particularly Christian conservative) bloggers to say something about this whole Plame thing.

My incisive commentary is...**yawn**

More seriously, I don't understand all the ins and outs of this whole brouhaha yet. I haven't even had time to read much about it. I'm waiting for all the facts to come out. So far, it looks like much ado about nothing, but I could be wrong. If I am, and if somebody broke the law, punish them.

That's all.

I heard on Sean Hannity today that if a journalist were to divulge the identity of a CIA operative, he could not be brought up on charges for it... freedom of the press and all that hooey. BUT!... the person who "leaked" the info the the journalist can be brought up on felony charges. I am wondering at the validity of that. I agree that if somebody broke the law, they need to be punished. But what is the law that got broken? And who broke it? And why would a journalist be exempt? Perhaps that's what should be looked into here? I dunno... hell, I'm just a citizen...

Hi Sasha,

Some are saying that this law could be used for a possible prosecution. I kind of doubt that this Plame woman was some sort of super-duper secret double naught spy, so who knows if the law would actually apply to this situation. I guess we'll find out as more information comes out...
