What's been going on...

First the good news: I've lost a total of 42.5 pounds since July!

Now the bad news: I may have gallstones or an ulcer. (I think it's gallstones.) I'm having some tests done in a couple of weeks.

Good news: Congratulations! That's awesome. And I know such a feat takes hard work and discipline. I wish I could manage either one of those. Anyhoo -- way to go!

Bad news: Yikes. That stinks. We'll be praying for you.

Congratulations on the weight loss! I lost 10 pounds in China in two weeks - due to the fact that I ate so little of the food over there.

Good luck with the gallstones, and good to see you back on the blog!

Wonderful news (the weight loss) Susan!

If I can ask, what kind of diet did you use?

Hi Bill,

I've been following the Weight Watchers program. It's not so much a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. You are allowed a certain amount of points a day based on your weight. There are no "forbidden" foods and no "special" foods, but you are encouraged to make wiser choices in what you eat (to get the most out of your points). You weigh-in once a week and then stay for the meeting if you wish. This helps to keep you honest. It's also nice to talk with other people in the same situation.
