The Great Christmas Light Debate

Okay...I said it here and I said it here. Now let me say it here:

Christmas lights should be colored. All white lights are very, very boring. That's right -- white lights are not more elegant, they are not more classy -- they are BORING. B-O-R-I-N-G!

Christmas should be fun, happy and colorful. White lights are prim and uptight. So Christmas lights should have colors. Lots of colors!

Update: The current logo at A Small Victory says it all, I think. ;-)

And this is the very reason we have two trees in our house - - one with white lights and one with colored ;)

That's a good way to settle the debate...then everyone's happy. :-D

Colored and blinking is my preference. And I don't like to decorate outdoors, though this year our house is sticking out like a sore thumb for its plainness. Maybe a simple manger scene will do.

Joel,

I don't put lights on the house, either. I would like to, but I never have the time or energy to do so. So, the outdoor decorations consist of a wreath on the door and those big, plastic candy canes planted in the yard. If I did put lights on the house, they'd be colored! ;-)

Now, the tree definitely has colored lights, with colorful ornaments. The lights are supposed to blink, but they don't always do so.
