No Apologies

After the Terri Schiavo autopsy results were made public, some were saying that those of us who are against what was done to Terri owed Michael Schiavo and his supporters an apology.

Well, you know what? I will apologize when hell freezes over. Here's what perfectly demonstrates this man's (lack of) character -- her gravestone. Michael Schiavo couldn't resist being vindictive to the very end. He couldn't resist the opportunity to make sure he gives Terri's family the finger every time they visit her grave.

How anyone could continue to defend this dirtbag is beyond me. How anyone could defend the callousness of this gravestone is beyond me. The usual bloodless libertoids are defending it, of course, but I don't expect much from them anyway...they are beyond hope.

The gravestone is disgusting on so many levels. First, there is the "departed this earth" date, which is the day she collapsed and sustained brain damage. Then there's the "at peace" date, which is the day she actually died. Finally, there's the inscription -- "I Kept My Promise". As usual, it's all about Michael Schiavo, not Terri.

Boy, that Michael Schiavo is a real piece of work.  Not satisfied with merely defying a court order by keeping the Schindlers from their daughter's memorial service, Michael also had the gall to put this sick joke on her gravestone:... [Read More]

Bleah. I think I'm going to throw up now. What an evil person. May God protect us from these predators.

I noticed over at Blogs for Terri that even some who had sided with St. Michael and his crusade to kill his wife thought the headstone was disgusting. Were I his priest, after the service I would handed him a declaration of excommunication.

The guy's still gotta make it about him. I don't think it's vindictive as much as it is "Gosh, I swear, I'm the good guy in this, I was morally right, I've put it on your headstone."

Grrr.....

I know the proper Christian response is to pray for Michael Schiavo. It's hard to do, of course. I always struggle with the "pray for your enemies" thing, along with the "turn the other cheek" thing.

This lib doesn't support a damn thing Michael Schiavo has done and thinks an enema with molten lava would be fitting for him.

Hi Deep Toad,

LOL...I agree, that would be perfect for him! I realize that there were lots of liberals who were against what was done to Terri. Despite the way some people tried to frame this issue, you didn't have to be conservative or religious to oppose dehydrating a disabled woman to death.

My "bloodless libertoids" remark was aimed at certain libertarian types, like Neal Boortz and certain bloggers who will remain nameless, who decided that Terri was no longer a person and no longer had human rights.
