Even after 9/11, some will never learn...

I was literally shaking after watching this video, which I found via the Anchoress. Like she said, you only need to watch it once.

I use Bloglines to do my blog reading, and I will often look at the references to a particular post. I checked the references to the Anchoress' post and found some piece-of-filth blog post on a conspiracy blog that simply said, "The cluelessness of these neocon duped, 9/11 OBL myth swallowing, bloggers is just stupefying". I'm not linking this nutjob, not even indirectly. But there were the usual links to the usual conspiracy crap. But try and wrap your mind around this -- a conspiracy nutter finds normal, human reactions to that video "stupefying". I really, truly despise Alex Jones and the rest of these 9/11 conspiracy morons. I despise them even more after watching that video. These people are sickos.

But we shouldn't dwell on these loons; instead we should remember the victims. One way to do that is to sign up for the 2,996 9/11 tribute project. I signed up myself a couple of weeks ago, as you can see on the sidebar. They are up to 37% now, but there are a lot more victims who need a blog to post a tribute to them come 9/11/06. I feel like this is a way to do something positive in the face of the evil done by the Alex Joneses, the Ward Churchills and the Noam Chomskys of the world.

You are so right, Susan.

Most 9/11 deniers suspend logical and rational thinking and never look at the irrational nature of 9/11 conspiracy theories. Others, however, know they lying about 9/11, all for political ends.

The only thing that cheers me, if you can call it that, is that evil has always existed. Scary as it is, we are not facing anything new. And though we may be afraid, God will conquer all evil.

Hi S. King,

Others, however, know they lying about 9/11, all for political ends.

Those types are the scummiest of all. They lie, smear, disrespect the dead and cause pain to the victims' families. All so they can stick it to Bush or the "neocons" or whatever. The other conspriracy types, the true believers, are just useful idiots.

Hi Barb,

That's true...there has always been things like this. And if you look at history, it seems that, eventually, good usually wins after all. The Nazis were destroyed, Communism fell, and it looks like one of the few commie dictators left (Castro) is about to kick the bucket. The conspriracy-mongers and their idiot followers will be forgotten, the 9/11 victims will be remembered and, eventually, Islamofascism will be defeated. God willing. :-)

I watched it a few days a go. Rough. It took me a moment to realize the call wasn’t going to end before the building fell. I considered turning it off before it fell, knowing the sudden silence would signify a death. I know people died, but each one you learn about becomes personal. I’ll never forget 9/11. Now I’ll never forget you.

Hi Ben,

Even though you linked to a splog -- which I removed -- I'm leaving your comment because I believe it's sincere. Yes, the video is harrowing...like I said, it left me literally trembling.

At Hot Air, some people criticized the way this man spoke to the 911 operator. I refuse to judge someone in a situation like that. He was scared out of his mind and there are two reactions to fear -- fight or flight. He was fighting to the very end. I'm sure the operator understood that.
