Blog Hibernation

I'm putting this blog down for a nap for a while. I've been tired and depressed lately and it seems like I can never get anything done but yet I never get any rest either. I want to concentrate more on my diet, my soapmaking hobby and on getting some things cleaned up and organized. I've made half-hearted attempts at going through old papers and organizing them in the past few months, but that just allows me to procrastinate a little more. I need to put forth a major effort.

I'll be around to post some light and fun stuff occasionally. I will also post my 9/11 tribute for the 2,996 Project when the time comes. I won't be doing as much reading and commenting either, but I may pop up once in a while. I'll be back when I'm less tired, less depressed and less harried. Until then...

...I'm only sleeping...

Comments

Hi Susan, thanks for checking in! I am doing better, thank you. There are still some things hanging over our heads that I will be glad to have over, but I'm doing better coping while waiting. In the meantime, I hope you have a good rest, and check back in at my place every once in a while. As a matter of fact, you might enjoy my latest post! :)

Hi Barb,

I'm glad you're doing better. I've been still feeling down, but I'm little bit better this evening. I woke up this morning with an awful sinus headache, I plodded through the work day and then came home a little early so I could take a nap, since I've been really fatigued lately as well. Since I got up from my nap, I feel a little better and the headache is finally completely gone.

I will still be reading you and a few others regularly. I will also try and get around to installing the latest Movable Type on my blog and doing a few technical things. I also need to finish updating the playlist on my Live 365 radio station. I'm not going to rush things, though...I'll take it easy. :-)

Try to make it a short nap. If you can. Thanks for all your help in the past.

Hi Bill,

You're welcome! :-) I'm still around reading and commenting some. And I'll post about fun stuff. I'm just taking a break from the heavy stuff, getting some real life things done and trying to get over this rather long attack of depression.

I think it was YOU that ratted Helen out...
came to that conclusion by reading your archives...

Posted on August 13, 2006 at 1:55 AM

JM,

Oh, really? I see you spent 19 minutes reading my archives, with 4 page views and that your IP address is 70.36.99.154. What exactly was it in my archives that made you come to that erroneous conclusion?

My own IP address is 70.191.212.157. Helen can check her logs and see that there were no hits by me until many hours after the incident happened, when Ilyka posted about it. You see, I don't even read Helen's blog. And, even if I did read it, and even if I were the kind of person who would do something petty like that (which I'm not), I would not have had the time or inclination to do so anyway.

Like I said over at Ilyka's, I've never emailed Michelle Malkin about anything and I have nothing against Helen. You are probably just a driveby troll and I probably shouldn't have responded to you at length like this, but I don't like being called a liar.

Folks, if you want to see what all this is about, click here. What happened was Michelle Malkin singled out a blogger (Helen) who didn't deserve it for scorn, and she (Helen) ended up getting all kinds of nasty email and even a death threat. Malkin credited someone with the rare and completely uncommon name of "Susan" for letting her know about the post. Because, in the past, I had a little argument with Helen in Ilyka's comments over something (which I can't even remember right now), I wanted to make sure Ilyka and Helen knew it wasn't me.

I try to go on hiatus and look at the crap that happens. Why do I even bother?

I'm going to try and go back to sleep now...

JM,

On second thought, I'm not really interested in what it was about my archives that made you decide I was guilty. Let me guess...it's because I'm a wingnut, Rethuglican godbag, right? So I must be a troublemaking jerk, right? It sounds like you're as good at making snap judgments about people as Malkin.

BTW, I don't need jerkwads coming to my site and accusing me of doing things I didn't do. So, you're banned.

God willing, we'll see the new, recharged you in a few months. Pax Domini!

Hi Pastor,

Thank you for your kind words. :-) It really does help after having to deal with trolls kicking you when you're down.

Hope you are doing well. Sometimes people just come out of the woodwork over nothing! Take care of yourself and your mom and Betty and Felix.

Hi Barb,

Thank you...I will do that. :-) I've about had it with much of the blogging world anyway. Distancing myself from much of blogdom is looking better and better.

jm has some nerve. "Came to that conclusion by reading your archives?" What on earth?

Trolls: Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em. Ugh.

If the referral was from my site, let me know (and please accept my apologies). I'll scold jm all over the internets. Like "Susan" is a rare name! And I think whoever wrote Malkin likely used a fake name anyway.

Hi Ilyka,

Well, both times he's come to my site (he dropped by again last night and found out he was banned) he came in through my Blogger profile. So it may have been from your site indirectly, since he probably got to my Blogger profile from comments I posted on your site. No need to apologize...trolls infest the internets like cockroaches.

And I think whoever wrote Malkin likely used a fake name anyway.

True...I mean if they are that cowardly and sneaky they probably wouldn't use their real name anyway.
