Thankful

Dawn Eden has posted some things she is thankful for. I feel like I'm so negative all the time, and I'm such a complainer, that perhaps I should do the same. So aside from the obvious (God, family, country), here are things I'm thankful for in no particular order:

My dog.
My cat.
Hot bubble baths when my back is hurting.
Hot bubble baths when I'm cold and can't get warm.
Hot bubble baths.
LUSH
Creekside Soap
My new car.
My iPod.
Being able to play my iPod in my new car.
The free XM satellite radio for a year that came with my new car.
Being able to listen to my iPod while I work.
My job.
Audiobooks
Music
Not having to wear glasses anymore.
C.S. Lewis
Altoids Tangerine Sours

That's all I can think of right now. I may add more later.

Comments

Mmmmm...I love baths! Thanks for sharing this list with us. It is indeed a very good idea.

Thanks, Barb! I think I'll be adding a couple of more things I thought of later. Also, regarding the previous thread, I found a few links (regarding the Constitution Party) that I will share with you in the comments there. I probably won't be able to post them until this evening.

Susan B., liked your comments here. Would have mentioned it over there, but Mark doesn't like me. Oh, well. I don't think David Kuo is the "real deal" at all. If he's not a complete dupe, then he's a great actor portraying one.

Hi Pauli,

Thank you! :-) I don't think Mark cares much for me either. I agree with your assessment of David Kuo. He is basically telling conservative Christians to quit caring about making a difference. Considering that Kuo doesn't think the pro-life cause is important, it surprises me that Mark likes him so much. But then again, Rod Dreher doesn't think it's that important either, but Mark has no scorn for him, either. But Rudy Guliani being pro-choice...unforgivable! Even if there are no viable pro-life alternatives in 2008.

Maybe I'm just too pragmatic...nah! ;-)

Barb,

I owe you some links...I'm sorry! I've been under the weather. I'm going to post what I have in the comments to the "prediction" post.

Susan, thanks for the links! I'm hanging on to those, for discussion of those wonderful third parties with some of their supporters. When you're feeling better, I'd like to hear if you think a third party would ever have a chance, or if they're just ripe for corruption by the fringe types.

Hi Barb,

I need to expand all this about third parties and such into a separate post when I have time, because this is something I feel strongly about, especially now in light of the GOP losing Congress. In a nutshell, no I don't think a third party would ever have a chance with the way our system is set up. The only way a third party could ever become influential is if one of the two major parties imploded, allowing another party to take its place. Unless that happens, third parties are only good for attracting kooks and causing naive people to waste their votes.
