For the orthodox Episcopalians still out there...

...all five of you. Just kidding...sort of.

This is too funny for words!

Christopher Johnson's blog is a regular stop because he channels his frustration at the liberal goofballism in his former(?) church into humor or into point-by-point smackdowns.

For you frustrated orthodox Episcopalians out there who don't wish to "swim the Tiber," there is always the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We're orthodox and we'd be happy to have you. :-)

I second that. Not that the LCMS doesn't have her own problems, but there isn't a perfect denomination anyway.

Barb,

I agree that the LCMS has its problems as well, but it seems to be holding up well and staying on the general course of orthodoxy. As for the Episcopal Church, from what I can gather, a leftist/gay mafia has gradually taken over the priesthood and watered things down so much that most of the priests can't even agree with the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. The church has fallen into heresy.

TEC will eventually die. I bet these half-empty churches consist mostly of old people (who have gone to a certain church all their lives) and gays. I bet there are very few, if any, families or younger people.

Think about it...why would a younger person or a family want to go to a church that ignores the divinity of Christ, that Christ died on the cross for our sins and then rose again? If they want a feel-good pep talk and to be told they are just fine the way they are, why go to a church? They can hear that stuff anywhere.

This is why orthodox churches grow, while heretical churches die off.
