Mohammed Cartoon Blogburst

Two years ago, the Danish Mohammed cartoons caused riots and controversy. Bloggers are being asked to reprint the cartoons in solidarity. So, here is one of the best known ones:

Mohammed Cartoon

I have my own take on the Mohammed cartoon controversy after the jump...

Some time ago, I used the above cartoon to make the following parody, which I never posted until now:

Mohammed and the Weaker Sex

Comments

I love it!

It's pretty sad that people get so caught up in superstitious BS that they are more than willing to riot and kill over a cartoon of some stupid guy who lived and died over 1,000 years ago. I'm sick to death of hearing about "people of religion" (whether Muslim, Sikh, or Christian) trying to control what the rest of us read, write, draw, think, see, do or say, and I'm especially sick of them demanding special dispensation for their superstitious idiocy. These people must be stopped in their tracks with a good firm slap on the muzzle, and not acquiesed to or given exemptions to laws and rules.

Hi Spirit Wolf,

I'm a Christian, but I believe in freedom of speech and I do not think the government should try and force any particular religion or lack-of-religion on anybody. I disagree with you that my faith is superstition, but you have every right to your opinion. Sure, I hate to see my religion ridiculed and to see Jesus disrespected, but I have enough security in my beliefs to know that my Lord is not diminished in the least by someone else's lack of reverence. He is greater than that...He is strong enough to withstand it. It seems that some Muslims don't have the same faith in their prophet.

I have no particular problem with Muslims unless they try and limit free speech, threaten people and try to force their religious laws (Sharia) on non-Muslims.
