Pray for My Sister

I would like to ask you to please pray for my sister. She had a heart attack this afternoon. She had angioplasty and she is in the hospital at least until tomorrow. In addition to her heart problems, she is under a lot of stress and has lots of worries right now. So please pray for her to have peace of mind as well as soundness of body. Thank you.

Update (6/17/08): My sister is doing much better and will be able to leave the hospital tomorrow. Also, the other things that were worrying her seem to be resolved and she's in much better spirits today. Thank you so much for your prayers! :-)

Comments

Susan, just tuned in and I will pray for your sister tonight during a Holy Hour I'm going to. If you could return a favor, please pray for a certain friend of mine who is having a difficult time.

BTW, I have a new post on the group blog I'm now part of (for better or for worse), so if you need a laugh give it a read.

Hi Pauli,

Thank you so much for praying for my sister. I will be praying for your friend.

Yes, I did need a laugh and I thought your post was hilarious...thanks for pointing it out. :-D I remember your post from last week (on your main blog) saying that you were posting on a group blog, but I hadn't had a chance to check it out yet.

I'm afraid praying wasn't the cause of her getting better. It was the doctors and her getting the right care. You should be thanking the doctors instead of thanking God or people for their prayers (that I'm sure many people didn't do).

Andrew,

Actually, I am grateful for the care she received from the doctors and the hospital staff. God makes all that stuff possible.

I know that not everyone who reads this prays. But am am grateful for the ones who do.

This is why I didn't open the comments to this post initially. The last thing I want in posts like this is condescending, snotty, drive-by comments by atheists. What is it with the atheist need to "proselytize"? You don't see me going around to atheists' blogs and telling them to pray or convert. Geez...
